Freight One to buy 468 mln rbl of rail wheels from Interpipe
MOSCOW, Jun 13 (PRIME) -- StalTrans, a subsidiary of Russian railway operator Freight One, has signed a 467.771 million ruble agreement to buy rail wheels from Interpipe-M, a unit of Ukraine’s Interpipe, Freight One said in a statement on June 10.
Interpipe-M is to supply the rail wheels before July.
Freight One also said that it plans to buy rail wheels from StalTrans for no more than 470.11 million rubles before July as well.
An industry source told PRIME that there are three major suppliers of railway wheels at the European market – two Russian companies and Interpipe. “There is a deficit of rail wheels in Russia now, and national producers are unable to satisfy demand of the market,” the source said.
